Can I take photos with the same backgrounds?
 

So, I have multi eBay accounts and I want to take all the photos on the carpet, which has no pattern. Will this be ok if they are used for listing on all these accounts? Will the similar background be ok (since it is just the same 1 carpet)?

Just take pictures on different backgrounds just to be safe. It will only really be a cause for concern if two or more of these accounts are linked somehow, their more likely to be taken down.

Go get yourself some colored poster boards from Walmart.

I did get some white boards from Walmart but they are just not big enough to fully fill the picture frames sometimes...but looks like I will have to set up some new backgrounds for each account just to be safe.

^^Nice photo booth. I've thought about buying a professional one. Those boards are a lot cheaper though. I bet you paid like $7 to make that.

$5, but then again most of my crap is small so it works perfectly.

I use a cheap white shower curtain layed on the floor to photograph my items - I guess you could buy a few different coloured ones, white and cream maybe? You can get a plain unpatterned one for about £3.

I would avoid anything with a white background (when your listing on accounts for the first time).

Anything too professional at the beginning may look like you've snatched the image from elsewhere - and eBay dont like that. They want to see that you've got the item for sale in front of you.

I get this sh1t all the time from customers everywhere I sell sh1t... "can you upload pictures of the actual item?"! I'm like THAT IS the GD actual item... I can't help it that I also do product photography lol

So, when eBay says upload nice photographs... they don't really mean it! haha

when it comes to these people I say "the more different the better" truth is I HIGHLY DOUBT the backgrounds will get you caught BUT I'm always one to be on the safe side with Ebay / Amazon so yeah switch up
