Switching from an IMB compatible to IMac Computer

Just notice that the ip address is different between my old ibm compatible laptop from my newer Imac computer. I have never used the imac computer before for doing ebay. Since I am suspended from ebay, is it safe to say that I could open up a new account on the Imac computer? Please advise Noel
