Different OS on same machine - will this hide me?

My account is suspended, long story and irrelevant but grr

Anyway:
I want to use ebay for selling random stuff occasionally from home, not as a business so I can't justify $20 a month for the guide.

I would like to use my mother's ebay account for this but obviously don't want her banned as well!
Until now I have connected to her PC using teamviewer and logged in to ebay from there, which works but is a pain.

On my PC I run Win10 but also sometimes Linux (from a live CD).
My question is (finally) can I log into another ebay account on my PC using Linux without ebay tracking me and linking the accounts?
On Windows I use my regular account for buying on ebay. As Linux is the live version and not installed there would never be any saved cookies or any other settings, plus I would make sure to never sign in to my usual account there of course.
Is this ok? Not certain if the IP would be different on different operating systems same PC, I assume that would be the main issue.

Thanks :)

Hi,
welcome to the forum!

Different user accounts on your PC will do the trick. It is not necessary to have live CDs or different OS.
VMware (virtual machines) is also a good solution.

Bear in mind that is not only cookies that could link you but also IP, flash objects, images and other stuff...

Whilst I think that $ for Stealth Guide are worth every penny, I would suggest not to drag parents, friends and pets into your eBay/PayPal business using their accounts. Start fresh with a 100% stealth account and you won't regret it.

P.S.: stealth basics are covered all around the forum. Read and learn.

Purchase 1 month of the book. Read it, learn it, then cancel it. Well worth $20 if you're asking questions like these.

You are best staying away from using a live version of linux, you will run a higher risk of getting issues with PayPal not using a commonly used OS and without a build up of cookies. As mentioned above it's a lot better to use separate user accounts or a virtual machine.

Regarding your IP the easiest ways to change them are to get a VPN with a dedicated IP address or use mobile data (via a dongle, mifi hotspot or tethering from a smart phone).
