Question Why is aol dial up better than the free service? Or is it?

I'm starting to hate myself for asking all these questions, but I need some more

Thanks to all that's been so gracious with their time.

Been reading the sections on aol proxy and dial-up to get diff ips.
If I've read things right, the current general consensus is that
the dial-up is better (in ebay's eyes) than the free service aol 9.1.

So, have I read it right? And if I did, why is that?

I'm not trying to save $10/mo, just curious why ebay would see
the 2 aol services differently. Do they know if one is a dial up or 9.1?

The problem is that free Broadband will only mask your IP and Ebay will know it, so its not safe. Only paid dial up is safe. Plus, if you have several Ebay accounts it is wise to keep them in different window users each as this will save your cookies and you wont have to delete them each time.
I use AOL dial up only to sign into my account to answer emails. I list through Auctiva, at least for now....

What about being 'recognized' and having accounts suspended by using the proxy did you not understand? So aspkin recommends dial-up for our
stealth purposes why second guess anything.

Well proven here that the proxy caused users to lose accounts. Ergo not worthwhile as a SAFE way to deal with ebay. Aol dial-up at this point is suitable.
