Has anyone been linked by PayPal invoice?
 

A shipper has just sent an invoice to my personal email address which is linked to a defunct PayPal account. In the past, I have paid this shipper by invoice sent to my clean business email.

Obviously I cannot log into my old PayPal account to pay him. How did the invoice go through the system since that account is dead? And will PayPal make the connection if I send payment from my good account in the same dollar amount?

Any suggestions?

It has gone thro' because you did not make yourself fully & totally stealth.
The shipper 'knows' you and there is an accidental/maybe dangerous link.

Maybe contact the shipper and spin a story about no invoice etc etc. Offer to pay by other means & make them check what email addie they have....
