Removing "Tracking Cookie" automatically using Norton 360

I heard that It's bad to constantly delete your cookies but it's not my fault. Norton 360 automatically requires that once a day

I don't like Norton, beautiful interface does not always do the beautiful things, Norton is just too... you know

GreenBean 08-12-2009 01:06 AM

Norton 360 bad. Removing cookies bad. Kill Norton. Save cookies :peace:

Nortons been outdated for almost a decade.

Do some research. Theres much better AV out there.

bluemoon999 08-12-2009 07:39 AM

Ya, there are more better ones. I've been using AVG for 2 years. It works well for me.

GreenBean 08-12-2009 07:45 AM

^^^agreed. I use AVG as well on one computer. Tops.

What would put me off Norton at once is this automatic deletion of cookies? Why can that not be bypassed? Curious only, not converting :peace:

One of my friend, who's been known to take hacking as a hobby, a long time ago told me:

Quote:

A virus is meant to be a pain in the ass and make you scream profanities over the top of your lung for pissing you off. By this definition, Norton's software suites are the most succesful viruses ever written in that regard, and people even pay for it! The guy who wrote that is a GENIUS!
Live and learn folks! Live and learn...

PS. AVG Free and AVAST are both free antiviruses suites that do well, and work as good or better than norton or mccaffee crap.

you're right tigerlord, but actually i find kaspersky to be awsome. Way better than enything else.

you have tracking cookies and you have flash cookies, as long as you leave one of them on your system there should not be a problem

MadSam 08-31-2010 05:05 PM

Why would it cause a problem? I delete flash and tracking cookies constantly. Why do you think it's bad to delete them?

Norton has screwed up every computer I've put it on including that of a former employer who insisted it was OK. Norton was OK with DOS but not since Win 3.1 for me.

I'd like to use GhostSurf if it would work but it can block so much info that e&%$ wants and keeps them from putting junk on your computer that it won't work at all.

AVG was OK but they weren't catching rootkits. I now use MS Security Essentials and they seem to be doing OK and have caught many of those sites that show you what looks like your system telling you it's found virus' when it will really install one if you click "scan".

eset smart security is what I used to use but my pc is bit broken so I cant use it until I re-install windows.

So I am stuck using Norton and Malwarebytes Anti-malware
