Mac/GarageSale/tracking by eBay
 

Hi,

My wife was suspended because she reported a guy for cyber stalking her on her account. At least thats all I can see that she did...

I set her up to list with my GarageSale listing software for Mac. I deleted her account from GarageSale, and I have moved to Spain from Florida- so obviously have a new IP- I'm using free wifi all over the place.

She was listing in the US, I list on ebay in Europe, so not sure if its clean, or if I have anything t worry about- I make my living with the ads I put there and don't those clowns messing me up from some jackass who wanted to hard time my wife. Thats MY job. :)

After the suspension, which was 6 months ago, I also cleared all the cookies and cache, but still worried of I list with GarageSale. Any ideas?

I'm a little confused and not really sure what you're asking? I'm sure you can still use the same listing company, just get a different account with them.

I am Mac based and I also run Garage Sale.
But I am a little confused on what you are trying to figure out.
Garage Sale does connect with eBay directly so what ever IP Address you are uploading from will be seen by eBay.
When I use Garage Sale with my Stealth Accounts I use AOL Dialup.
SLOW but IP Address SAFE.

I've changed my IP a dozen times since, so I'm not particularly worried about that one. I'm using the same computer, and have a GarageSale that are the same as my wifes account was using. I listed her stuff on eBay.com, and have since used eBay.co.uk for myself- only- never eBay.com.

I deleted her account from my GarageSale, but I had the initial part when they ask for ebay to ID with my GarageSale and get a token or some other ID thing in mind. Will eBay recognize my GarageSale as being where hers was, and is there any other factor that I need to worry about?

Are ebay.com and ebay.co.uk totally connected in security? Is there a chance that I can go ebay.com and get booted for the GarageSale token? Both tokens were on the same GarageSale...

The only way different accounts on Garage Sale will get linked together is from the IP used when you generated your eBay tokens....
OR the IP used when you are uploading your items from Garage Sale to eBay.
As long as you switch user name accounts inside Garage Sale before you upload your items AND make sure you have a different IP address before you upload you should be fine.

It does not matter how many tokens are generated.
Just keep your IP Address separate as well as your cookies & Flash objects.

I recommend using different User accounts on your Mac for safety.

Located in Apple>System Preferences>System>Accounts.

OK, so if I deleted the username for my wife on GarageSale- thats finished and the token is gone. My IP has changed so many times its crazy. How do I check for flash from the ebay.com site and how does the ebay.co.uk site correspond with it?

Storage location of Flash Objects on MACINTOSH:
Open your hard drive.
Users>User Name>Library>Preferences>Macromedia>Flash Player>#SharedObjects>Random Name>FlashObjects

As for Garage Sale....
Once you delete your wife's account from Garage Sale POOF it is gone.
You can not upload back to eBay from her account without creating a NEW token.

As for the ins & outs of eBay UK.... I can not answer that because I do not know.

I HAD NO PROBLEMS, but didn't know if any of my IP's were the same, so that was my only question- I assume they were, since I was using a USB stick that changed IP every time I restarted it.

SO NOW YOU KNOW!!! WILL YOU STOP SCREAMING??? THANKS!!!
