if i use gmail, can i open ebay messgaes to read or only respond to?
and i can open best offers

many posts on this, do a search, short answer is, it is ok to open, as long as images not displayed option chosen.

You can usually open ebay messages *IF* you have images disabled in your gmail options. You can not accept best offers or reply to any message that would be routed back through the ebay message system.

Sometimes, gmail will display images even when your settings say otherwise, so there's always a risk that images will capture your IP and cookies.

If you aren't fluent with the pitfalls of ebay notifications, I strongly suggest you not even attempt to view through gmail. Instead, get your IP proper and log in via the appropriate windows user account. Go directly to ebay site, and manually take care of business until you've studied gmail and message handling more thoroughly.

I have a quick question on this topic.For a #### Amazon account can you log into your Gmail account with banned computer and see if you have any messages but NOT open the messages?

If you only view the subject list, you're fine. But don't open one. Sometimes setting it to disable images stops working and that type of mistake isn't worth flirting with.
