IP Address Log Mac OSX

I erased the HD on 2010 Macbook Air and in the process of installing OS High Sierra using the Wi-Fi / IP address that's on ebay's blacklist. Wi-Fi will be turned off on the laptop once OS is installed and will log into another IP address to finish installing new chrome, new gmail, etc.

Does the Mac OSX log IP address, and will ebay be able to see all IP's used when I'm using a different IP address? I hope that makes sense. TIA
