Entering the same national insurance number on a previously banned ebay uk account
 

Hi, all i am currently on a stealth ebay account, account is running well.

I got the red banner above, asking me to add my passport and national insurance number.

Of course, i only have one national insurance number, which i have already used on a legit account. So if i add that onto a new stealth account that is totally clean details wise, would entering my national insurance number from my old banned account, cause my new stealth account to get suspended? As my national insurance number has already been entered on a previous banned account?

I need to know, i tried searching but no answer. I have a lot of money on hold and don't wanna cause problems later on.

Please any ebay uk stealth accounts experience recently with this?

I would not add same national insurance number for two different people

do they want driving licence and NI number at the same time?

Hi, my question is can ebay dedect a national insurance that has already been inputted onto a previously banned account?

Once, i used my real national insurance on one stealth account with my freinds ID and they cleared it and got paid too after suspension. Therefore the national insurance never matched to the ID in the first place.

My accounts are all italian, but for some of them i used same bank account, same name so same codice fiscale coming from banned accounts, and it worked

Of all the data eBay have ever collected then an NI number is surely the easiest and most instantaneous way of linking accounts.

Assuming ebay intend to use NI numbers to do so, it would be madness to re-use it if it's already associated with a banned account.

The future of true stealth is bleak, I guess the litmus test will be how account sellers plan on managing when it becomes mandatory at the point of account creation. Stolen numbers? Number generator? Time will tell.

there are two main questions here

one is whether ebay care if NIN was used on a suspended account if identify on both accounts is identical

the other one would be whether ebay care that the same NIN is used by 2+ different people

I would say on the first one there are chances of selling without problems but on the second one I do not believe ebay or HMRC would tolerate it
