What is the best dial up service??

So I have been wondering what is the best dial up service?

And which one wont give you any crap for using different dial up numbers?

For example: I have a stealth account in Miami, with my dial up provider I find a number in Miami to dial into. But the thing is im not no where near the state of Flordia....dig it?

Im using netzero and I have done this a few times on newly made stealth accounts. When I signed off a few times, I had a message pop up from netzero saying that "we have been contacted by your phone company that your dialing into a number that is not in your area", Its something along the lines of that.

Would that cause problems?

There are tons of dial up companies out there, really any will do. If you're having problems with NetZero try another company.

I've used netzero in the past. I just made the stealth as the dial up name. Then when that pops up just reject all the local numbers and it will be saved. :fight:

Yeah I was thinking about different ones just to be safe. I had aol saved on my computer then I deleted it to get the previous version 7.0 but then found out that its not compatable with vista. So when I went to download 9.5 again it wont seem to work right when its installing. So I havent been able to use aol=( Any ideas to why this is happening?

Yeah oge thats what I have been doing, just rejecting them. I figured if I have unlimited nationwide long distance that I wouldnt have to worry about charges to my phone bill. Does netzero charge for dialing into those numbers out of state?

Thanks aspkin and oge for you advise!

No they don't charge for it. ! thing that use to piss me off about netzero is that some access numbers was ok but some was like dial-up from the dino-age. Super slow but I was always checking the ip and something I just kept using an access number that responded well & sometimes it would give me VA & NY as well as local ips. Keep that in mind. So sometimes I just went with that one because you really don't have to be in the same city AFTER you setup your account. I haven't had any problems in the past.

You know oge I was think just that! Sometimes when I use a certain number to dial into...its just slooooooooooooow. Im glad you pointed that out, I was thinking maybe something was wrong with the software lol. Yeah but so far so good!

Thanks my friend for the info, it definitly helped me out with some of the questions I had!
