Re-install Windows XP (Pro is better than Home). Update to Service Pack 2 but do not update to service pack 3. Firefox 3.0.17 and earlier are fine (no need to go all the way back to 2.x.x). Change out your network adapter or get macmakeup.exe/.zip and change the MAC address of your ethernet card or your wireless adapter. Disable flash (or better yet - don't install adobe flash). At the very least, get the firefox addons BetterPrivacy, AdBlock Plus, and NoScript (go find my thread on firefox for ebay ninjas - there are links and plenty info).

solution to my problem, clear data box on new firefox version = install asktosanitise add-on - its working now!!

Thank you Vic your help is much appreciated. I have vista on this pc now. So I would have to purchase xp. Network adapter? Like ask verizon for a new card/wheres that download for the file? Then download firefox service pack 2? I'll do all this but why can't i find what google is reconizeing me on?

I read somewhere that if you formed gmail accounts at a location google knows when and where it was formed. They keep this data and so far they don't sell it. But this info is not etched in stone or even having anything to do with this thread.
