Used CCleaner but......

I ran CCleaner and it erased most of my passwords and log in info for sites I've been to. I expected that, and it seems to be proof that the program worked.

But there were some sites, like craigslist, where my info/past searches were still the same. Did I do a thorough cleaning? How can I tell if I need to do anything else?

Just curious...

Why are you doing this? :noidea:

Is this what you think you should be doing? It seems as though you are going though a lot of unnecessary steps or possibly reading a lot of outdated information.

use a different windows user then you dont need to erase anything.....hmm ccleaner should erase everything unless craigslist was on different browser and it was open at time of cleaning, it only cleans closed browsers. Another alternaitve is betterprivacy and askforsanitise mozilla add-on combination...........

Most likely flash objects left behind.. CCleaner doesn't get those last I checked.

You should probably read eBay Stealth to get the latest information on creating accounts. PM me if you need any help.

The current version of CCleaner does get rid of flash objects. I've done it before several times. I don't know if having "show hidden/system files" in your settings makes any difference (this is what I've always done anyway) but if you don't have those settings enabled it might be worth a try to do that and then run CCleaner again if the latest version's still not working for you.
