Dlink dir-655 mac address?
 

Having major problems trying to change my wan mac address, my set up is virgin media cable linked to the above router, i can find the mac address in the dlink setup page but don't know how to change it, can anybody help out there?

You're unable to clone it and change the last two digits of the MAC?

Hi Aspkin, yes I can press clone mac address, but in the ebook and guides on this forum it said not to clone anything. So i clone the mac address 1st (taking note of the original ip using ipburger or similiar) then i will be able to change it yeah? so i then take note of the changed 1. If i do this for each computer user account do i need to keep the mac addy for each user then type that into my router each time i log into each respective user acc. thanks for any help:clap:

Hi, yes you can clone your router MAC address, then reset your cable modem and router and you should get a new IP Address. Do this every time you want to change your IP address and you should be fine.

Yeah i got it now mate thanks, just got a bit confused reading guides on it.I cloned mac address then changed last digit by 1 and it worked can i just change the last digit for multiple ip's say .62 .63 .64 etc or should i alter them a bit more. oh yeah when i switch back to the original mac addy it gave me a different ip than my original one why would that be had it expired?=}
