Netbook NIC card
 

If I disable my NIC card in my netbook, can eBay/PP still get the address off it when I sign on with the cellular modem?

Does anyone have any knowledge on this?

I don't believe so. It has to be an active connection. the best thing is to disable it and the use a mac spoofing tools to choose a different vendor and change the nics vendor code along with a matching mac address. then use a usb to Ethernet nic or broadband card that has a dynamic ip. You have be careful some are static. you don;t want this.

Your NIC's can be disabled or active.
Amazon can still see it.
eBay/Paypal do not track the NIC information.

The gas attendant in the store can still see the other 7 in the car.

the use of Vmware 7.01 takes acre of this. it's like the other 7 have there own like stealth baby seats and the windows are tinted

Yes there are another 10+ NIC's that have MAC addresses that you are not seeing.
And if you are on a Laptop then the Ethernet is built into the motherboard and it IS a NIC....

Ok - I use an old laptop for Amazon ebay whatever else on Dial-up right now.

Since I don't know all about NICs and MACs what I have done is this:
1. No LAN cable...so that's out.
2. No WiFi access or wireless access - but yes it says wireless connections are available but I don't use them.

I stick to dial-up and make accounts running - seems to be fine so far.
