I have read alot of things about opening emails from ebay and Paypal. What is the best way to do this without being linked? I looked around and searched but didn't really find a good explanation. Im 99% sure I was linked this way once. EB and PP requires you to confirm your email plus there are gonna be customer emails. Should I be fine as long as I don't "allow images and links" and clear cookies before opening???

yeah i think that should be enough.
but another questions:
how can you block images in hotmail/live account ?
cannot find an option somehow...
HI- I NEVER open ebay or customer emails in aol.. I only open when im within the aol sign on, on line- then in the ebay messages system, the others i either send to spam, OR- i open at a library, or on my palm treo--
(maybe too cautious)--but ive changed every habit i had up..
i usually have a google mail plugin that lets me know when i get new emails, then i hook up my dialup, connect, and then from the dialup ip only check the emails.
a good organization thing i found is Netvibes i have that thing as my new desktop, you can put notes, email accounts, bookmarks, rss feeds, whatever on there. I have like 10 gmail accounts there that tell me when new mail comes in.
I use dial up to do anything with ebay or paypal... I even wear a condom too----------- by the way... dont mess with this girl... I can tell she-he is up to no goooooooood
I messed up yesterday and clicked on an email (I meant to check the box beside it to delete) As soon as it started to open I closed the browser. Within an hour I got 2 emails from ebay with the title 'eBay - Get what you want NOW, no bidding'. One to the email I opened the message in. The other to the email for the account that I had used that IP # to log into! The account with the attached IP I had just entered CC# to make it a seller account. Should I let them sit? Try a test auction or 2? Or just forget them both!

Use a free email client that either defaults to not load pictures. Or has so much irritating ads that you turn pictures off.
Also clear your cookies when you last use ebay so the pictures only see an IP and not your last cookies too.
I'm logging onto gmail.com. It doesn't load the pictures....just shows a box where they should be. Am I paranoid? Is there something else I need to do...like stop being anal and wanting to keep my mailboxes empty?? LOL
Ok, on only the 2 accounts I mentioned earlier I just received a welcome email from Auctiva. I signed up for the auctiva accounts days ago when I registered these accounts on eBay and at the same time I generated the ebay token. The other 12+ accounts I registered on Auctiva did not receive additional emails. All accounts received one minutes after registering. Why are these 2 accounts getting a new email????
OMG - Thanks for letting me know. Their web site has been acting funny for a few days and I have to log out and wait a while and log back in. I feel better now!
I think we got to stop being so paranoid about the whole email thing. They won't suspend you just based on the information gathered from opening a couple of emails. They'll suspend you on ebay for something else alot sooner.
