I have the iPhone 3GS, I use it with At&t for tethering. It's pretty fast, about 1.5 mbps.

YOu have to pay extra for the tethering and you don't get that unlimited internet anymore though, right?

Nope, I don't pay more for tethering, it's jailbroken.


It was 5gb a month, even though they called it unlimited. It did not change for current customers though, only new customers. So yes I still have what they call unlimited internet.

Hmm... you jailbroken your iPhone, yet you still use it on AT&T?
What's the risk of bricking the phone? Since I sure damn hell won't pay for tethering.

Do a search on Google, tons of articles on it, it's not illegal anymore.

u mean you are running 3.13 mod with ios4 features like tethering. I use my jailbroken iphone 2g on tmobile. $20 a month unlimited.

dial up does work well though. just slow. you will never get linked on dial up that's whats good about it. unplugging and power cycling a router and modem can get tiring.
