Google maps and ip sharing location ebay and paypal? SCARED!
 

So i go to google maps checking out some new addresses with a new ip address through the router and see my location so im curious and click on it and bam it takes me exactly where im at and it even shows the place exactly where I am at.. Is this normal? Can ebay or paypal find this out? I thought new ips don't give such a direct address or am I wrong? Somebody clarify please...

wow. Mine actually shows a couple blocks from my bogus address. And I'm 8 miles away. What are the odds!!

Are you maybe just by the main ISP box? I checked a few sites and all show same area. And I'm guessing thats where the ISP has a router or whatever they call it

I dont know technical ISP stuff, sorry. But they have junction boxes or whatever in various places in the city. So I'm thinking you just happen to be right by it and thats why it shows so close to where you are.

no its not that. google will literally point the blue point right over the building im in since im in an apartment...

Really. Mine shows miles away. What site you usein? Google itself?
