All mac users --pls help

can someone kindly give us ALL MAC USERS answer to "how to change IP address with ethernet ONLY PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSs " Need to know this badly before i can start anything. thanks.

Changing IP is done on the router/modem and not the computer so should be the same for PC and MAC. I am sure someone else will correct me if I am wrong!

thank you for responding. you are the only person responded to me and i still need help. I need direction as to how i can switch back after changing one ip. and i dont have a wireless router but ethernet only. pls help. thanks.
