Proxies

I know proxies are not a good thing for new accounts, but what about older well established ones?

i have 2 accounts over 1k in feedback on both, they are both real info as well.

Id like to use a proxy with those, is it still a bad idea?

also, will a website like magicbypass.info for example work or do i need some type of program?

Markk 11-16-2010 07:11 PM

magicbypass.info would be an awful choice as the IP is shared and you will no doubt encounter problems when trying to browse.

I think it's always a bad idea to use a proxy for long term use, you don't want to draw any attention to your account. Scammers like to hijack accounts and they often use proxies, you don't want to be in the same firing sight as them.

Proxies do not work. End of story. Period.

On occasion, we have a new member who will dispute this, because they were initially able to use a proxy to create an account. Two weeks later, they wonder why they were suspended.

Proxies are easily detected by eBay, PayPal and Amazon. Most VPN's also will not work. They are not so easily detected, but EB/PP/AMZ know the IP address ranges of the VPN providers and block them.

If you decide to try this anyway, don't be surprised when, a few hours or a couple of weeks later, your account is blocked.

Ok..Id like to learn from you.. So what other options left?

MadSam 11-22-2010 06:41 PM

The other thing about using proxies and VPNs that nobody seems to mention is that your internet activity is routed through theirs. So unless you're using one of the trustworthy providers that does not keep any logs of activity, of which there are few, then these providers will have full access not only to what you have browsed but also to any account information, passwords, credit card information, bank accounts, etc. that you may have entered. How much do you trust the guys that advertise their company logos as a guy wearing a black coat, a hat and sunglasses?

routers are only 35 bucks at walmart, each router will have a different ip.dial up is another option but its slowwwwww

i have about 20 routers in rotation, just reset the modem and change router, bam new ip

eheheh.. MadSam you are right.. not to much!)..but still can be a nice guy..who knows! ))

Yeah shogun1! Using the same old mac address, you good)..But then your ips all from your area from one range and the real question here I think how to make it happen safely from far away if the account registered in not your area.

Or does not matter after creation a new account Im login in allways from a area which real far away from where I created the account.
Example created in Canada and I log in allways in US.?

WoW 20 Routers... I thought 5 was overkill....Till i found an excellent post on changing my ip on a router now i have like like 20 accounts to one router

But when you switch routers do you get a completely different range?
