I don't think it will really stop anything. I mean, I *HOPE* it does, but I'm not holding my breath.

Browsers are getting better on privacy (finally) but I think they will always be one step behind the trackers.

That and doesn't it sound a lot like Add Block Plus for Firefox?

Yeah. And the trackers will always find a way around whatever security is there. We've all had pop-ups blocked by default, yet when I go to the Chicago Sun-Times website, they always find a way to spawn pop-ups, pop-unders, or whatever. Most of the time for Netflix.

You also have to remember that business and government do NOT want you to have privacy. And they usually get what they want.

I have found a lot of those features to date, like No Script and Add Block Plus pretty ineffective at fighting tracking.

Probably won't work effectively, but as long as we got stuff like vmware not much need for it either.

Trackers are like the hackers of the internet.

Security is always trying to KEEP UP...that is the key word. KEEP UP!

Actually i think every new browser open more methods to track the users.
Using custom configured old version browsers the best way to get around.
New versions are talking more about security protection, custom-old versions are doing more for that.
Yeah, something changed in the past 5 year, companies like to talk more about securing the user while working on how to track them down.
It's a worldwide goal to track the pc user 100% google and facebook are on a right way to realizing this... (@#$!! them) many new version of softwares and all things happening today like facebook linked with skype is towards this goal.

Im working on an anti-facebook / google site by the way which will let people know how dangerous is to share everything on the net and will teach them use it privately.
Everybody who is interested pm me.
