Surfing ebay without logging in???
 

I swear, I searched and searched before asking this question. So if it's redundant I apologize!!! :cool:

Is it ok to search ebays web site if you're not logged in????

Thanks, I'm a consignment seller so I have to do a lot of research! Half the time I don't know what I'm selling! LOL

EBV- yes, and Auctiva will allow you to "Remotely" list items without ever logging into ebay after the initial Token is generated... :)

I do this alot, from different computers, from what I understand they don't log your IP unless you log in. I like to do research and check my listings w/o signing in.

haha, i do this from my regular home ip, with my real ebay account logged in while posting crap on my ⊗⊗⊗⊗ accounts through auctiva in the same browser.. works fine.

you are limited to seeing just LIVE auction though via general browsing without logging in

If you were to use ADAVCNED SEARCH to montior prices sold/activty for last 30 days - this requires you to LOG IN unfortunatley

Goofbay offers a great services of seeing this without logging in - you can also see seller turnover etc

I've thought about that. I know with a few of my web sites I can see what website my visitors come from. Made me think about going to a website like ipchicken or ipburger and then straight to eBay!

is it safe to say that when the account is first created via a dialup connection, start an auctiva account associated with your new ebay account, create the token and from then on you can use auctiva to list your items via any normal computer connection as it seems your never actually logging in ?

regarding goofbay or another feedback checker tool, what if youve been logged in earlier that day, then check your other auctions on goofbay, I notice they redirect you to ebay, if you want to see detailed feedback, I really really hope ebay dont log my ip - its unlikely BUT what about checking 5 of your accounts all in a row, they must have a log of that - I mean that someone is constantly checking same group of IDs- dya think?

goofbay is safe to check all you feedback accounts as the requests is made by their servers, not your IP.
