Tracking questions, newbie

Hello All !! I am a newbie here to the forums and I love all the great advice I am getting just by reading the threads. But, there is so much, it can be a bit overwhelming. I wanted to ask a couple of quesations regarding Ebay tracking, please.

I am an Ebay buyer, not a seller. I have had a couple of suspended accounts in the past and as soon as I open a new account, things are fine ( and I pay all of my items ) until I get the dreaded suspended notice that syas that it is suspended due to being linked to a suspended user. I thought I had done all the steps to cover tracks :

new gmail email address,
using Firefox or Google Chrome,
diferent shipping address
new credit card

but after all that, I still got suspended. :(

So, I would like to get straight how exactly does Ebay track ?

Via paypal account ( yes, I used my old paypal acount on the new Ebay acount ) ?
Via IP ?
Via ISP ?
Via cookies ?

So, I should get a new credit card and open a new paypal account with that credit card for a future Ebay account ( opened at an internet cafe ) ?

What about using a program for hiding my IP ? will that help in the future ?

Welcome to the forums. IF you read around +/- get the stealth guide, you will understand that eb ay and pa yp al do a lot of tracking to link accounts.

In response to your four questions about what exactly eb ay tracks - the answer is YES.

You need to understand the system better before continuing to open accounts. All the best.

Sorry if I sound arrogant but a simple search forum will give you many many answers.

I will purchase the guide as soon as I can. I was under the impression that it was meant more for sellers than buyers. Can you help me on these 2 questions in the meantime ?

Will buying software to hide my IP help ? And should I just open a new paypal account with a new credit card and then link that to the new Ebay account so that it can't be linked ?

Opening a new pa yp al and new eb ay account must be done all separately on new IP from old one.

Buying software to hide IP is not good - just find a new IP somehow - internet cafe, library, online provider, etc.

Why won't buying or using software that hide your IP help ? I would think that is the one of the best ways . I must be able to se my computer at home and can not use an internet cafe or library computer everytime I neeed to go on ebay

Yes i agree with rsot...dont go down the route of buying proxy software always causes you problems down the line.
Have you got a static or dynamic IP scarlett?

Imakemoney 02-10-2011 03:00 PM

ebay doesnt like not being able to see the IP your accessing your account from...and can also lead to them constantly asking for you to send in documentation to prove who you are...its just easiest to change service providers to one that provide a dynamic IP..all i have to do with mine is restart the router then boom new IP :)
