how to change MAC address on a mac laptop??
 

hi guys, i can change my IP address etc with no problem but was wondering if I need to change my MAC address on mty laptop??

also the stealth guide recommends setting up new users account in windows but does this also apply for macintosh users??

hope someone can clarify and help as I need to set up a new ebay and paypal id's asap!!

You do not need to change your MAC Address on your laptop of you are using it connected to a router or modem.

If you do change or spoof the MAC Adress of your laptop you will only likely change your local ip but obviously eBay only see your wan ip.

command prompt > ipconfig /all to know your local ip of your laptop, not needed though.
ipburger.com or any ip website to find your wan ip, the one eBay see's and the one you change by resetting routers/modems, changing mac address of routers/modems etc etc

I have never had a Macintosh, does it work the same as Windows? Are cookies and such stored seperately for each account? If so then yes!

I use the program "changemac"...google it.

Why are you changing the MAC address of your NIC though? :confused:

p.s. I do not use this type of software because I don't see the benefit of changing NIC address but I do know that Technitium MAC Address Changer is much better than SMAC and Change MAC! :thumb:
