eBay store? good idea or bad

just wondering if an ebay store is a good idea or not.

What do you recommend?

Many people have differing views on this.

I myself only currently have one but it depends on the type of product you are selling I believe.

There do seem to be downsides in terms of stealth of having a store such as possible greater scruitiny from ebay. However some buyers may consider you having a store as looking more professional therefore may be more likely to buy from you.

You also need to work out the cost structure so if your selling over a certain amount of items.. I cant remember the exact number then a store may make sense financially too.

Use the search function too this is covered in quite a lot of threads previously.

i think it used to be 75 sales p/m - this was just before the fee changes.

check the calculator ebay provides for this.....I have sold anywhere from 2k starting out, and averaged 6-10k a month and I would not recommend it.

I am not sure about stealth terms but there is no difference in limitations, etc.

as for the price difference, I know you didnt ask but there is a link on ebay in the area where they talk about stores where you can type in certain criteria and it will give you the cost of fees vs store fees. in my case it said it woudl save me $75 in fees per month. it just depend on what you sell, how much, how you list it, etc.
