Default Cookies ~ not the yummy kind

I've been reading through the forum and found contradictory information regarding cookies.

At http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-su...step-step.html I found:

For example this forum: Once you sign-in, a cookie is set on your computer so the next time you visit you won't have to log back in. But this can work against you if you're on eBay. Remember to delete you browser cookies if you're working on multiple eBay accounts. One slip up with the wrong IP address without deleting cookies could link your accounts. If you just have one eBay account you don't have to worry as much because you're not logging into multiple accounts and cross contaminating if I may. But to be safe, use Firefox (Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable) and set it to auto delete cookies when you close your browser. Tools >> Options

Which of the above is correct ~ to clear cookies or to not clear cookies?

I have created two new eB/P accounts and each new eB/P account has its own user account (Mac Mini desktop computer).

Thanks!

Don't clear - just use separate user accounts.

Hi OP. I feel all of the statement in your posts are correct.

As rsot said, use seperate windows users and do not clear cookies.

If you are only using 1 windows user with multi eb/pp users, then you must clear cookies.

Best thing to do is to have different windows users for each account and keep cookies.

I think it is great you are doing your research before jumping in - you should last a long time with that attitude - good luck

Always leave the cookies in place once the account is open - it keeps them all warm and cuddly and purring nicely.

The only time to ensure cookies are cleared is if you are making a new account on a user account that has had cookies put on

Always check you post about yummy cookies in the Yummy Cookies sub-forum as well.

Look at the dates of the posts. 1st advice was correct at time it was made.

Situations changed. Advice got amended. users got informed.

You can pat yourself on the back for bothering to read to determine facts. Many never bothered.

hmmm, cookies, coffee, hmmm

Sooner-

Do not get over paranoid about cookies.

As the others have said just make a different user account for each account you have.

Do not make the mistake of clearing cookies after you started using an account. You will flag your account and get a call.

I made some oversized double chocolate chip chunky cookies yesterday and they are all gone already.
