Linking Indirectly
I found that paypal can instantly link an old paypal account even when you use a new email address duh..i know but in another way. Ill explain:
I made an paypal and ebay account in Feb 07. The ebay account was never used with paypal in anyway, in fact i never completed the registration. The paypal was limited within about 5 months for no reason...it was dormant and never used.
Because of the need for using pre nov 2007 accounts, i decided to complete the registration and quickly changed the address used to register.
I created a brandnew paypal account. Now i wanted to add the new ebay account address to my paypal acccount but when i tried to add it i got the message: this email address is already associated with another paypal account. Although i never made a paypal account with that email address specifically they were able to tell that email address used in ebay was linked to another address that was linked to an old limited paypal account.
I then tried to send money to that email address too see what would happen and i received a message saying "this account is not authorized for this transaction" even thought i never created a paypal account with this particular email address.
Paypal linkages goes pretty deep.
