ccleaner causes computer to freeze
 

I've had a very weird problem with ccleaner for the past few months. Whenever I try to run ccleaner it freezes my computer everytime it reaches 36%. I have not other options that I know of to get around this and have since logged into other accounts having skipped only ccleaner. I think a few of my accounts got linked cause I know one got paypal limited and another account I bought here recently got banned in only an hour.

So short question is what is causing ccleaner to freeze? I tried deleting the whole thing and reinstalling but that doesn't work.

What version(if any) of ccleaner is installed?

What O/S are you using

What other spyware etc etc are you running?

Not using any spyware that I am aware of. I used to have kaspersky installed but my protection ran out and I uninstalled that a long time ago. ccleaner worked perfectly fine up till 2/3 months ago.

I don't use ccleaner, but my friend does and it happens to him alot of times where his pc freezes and its a windows 7 home premium 64 bit, but he doesn't use it for stealth only normal. I guess its a problem with the program itself touching sensitive data on the disk and going baconcoles.
