Does paypal keep info after closing account?

Do you know if paypal keep SSN info after you remove the account? I have a working paypal account linked to a suspended ebay account. I was thinking to close my current paypal account and open another one using new address, CC, Bank #, but same name and SS# and then link it to my new ebay account.
Do you think I'll still get spotted by ebay?

yes, they keep all your info.
including ssn.
