Account limited due to relative
 

I'm new to this forum, basically I live at the same address as another family member (and used to share the same surname). Basically their seller stnadard is below what its required to be and they have decided that our accounts are linked therefore have put limitations on my account also.

I've tried phoning and talking to them on live chat and get the same answer everytime- its in order to "protect the buyer, all decisions are final!"

I'm not a big seller, however am on maternity leave and am clearing out old household items. I desperately need the space and the money generated from eaby in order to buy new things for my children.

I just cannot believe that I'm being penalised, is there any way around this? I've honestly done nothing wrong, my feedback is 100% and my star rating is all 4.9/5.0

Also incidentally my husband has an ebay account also, would it be safe to use his or will they link that and infringe his activity also?

You get linked via IP/addresses etc. When you get your husband's account linked, it will end up like yours.

Thi is very common for eBay and the reason this forum exists. In their efforts to root out fraud, they often catch innocent people in their traps. Trust me, they do not care. As far as they are concerned, the matter is closed.

Only thing you could do is plead with eb ay live chat or call them up but 90%+ chance, you are done in your name/address.

Time to go stealth.

You rely on ebay for new things for the children???

As has been said you can go stealth and household items are pretty easy sale and not very risky.

Never become 100% reliant on eb...or ONE eb account rather - spread the dread.
