1 isp, dsl & dial-up
 

I did try to check the forum, but could not find, plus this may be a ? for my ISP. I have At7& dsl with a modem . I also have the abllity to use dial-up which logs off in 10 minutes with no use. i then reconnect , check my Ip & it has changed. Does this sound correct?? to have both the dsl & the dialup as a way to connect?

Dialup is great... Usually broadband suppliers offer dialup as a freebie. It sounds good.

actualy now that I think about this & look at my internet options, It does give an option for dialup, which the guy in India ,who handles at&t internet , always says, check the box by never use the dial up. I ,for some reason, Had a problem, it was escalted to upper level, located here in the USA, San Jose. That guy told me ro uncheck it and use it if i wanted to. the dialup. always gives a new ip when I log on after being off.
You know, like comming to the fork in the road & taking it.

And you have also gained an insight into how to get the best technical support: IF you
possibly can, bypass any offshore tech support! Very often you do not get advice that
will work for you.
I know all about speaking indian english.... drives me nuts. ROFL.
