IP change? ebay tracking account user?
 

I am inquiring a question just to be certain b4 I start my stealths;
In my new user account when i sign out of ebay [and log off that user account] can they see/track when I go into my other user account. can they only see/track that period of time when i signed in and not when i am signed out of that ebay account? also, to be sure, every time i go into a different account i just change the last 2 numbers on my mac address and i automatically get that same ip address for that account. is this correct?
do i do this everytime for the same account [ change last 2 #s that i picked for that particular ip ] or get a whole new ip evertime i go into this user account b/4 i sign into feebay? thanks

they can't see you switching user accounts.

if you're on a separate user account and you're not using eBay, you should be OK. the cookies/tracking cookies that are on your eBay user account aren't accessible on the account you've switched to. they can track you by your IP though, but if you don't use eBay on the other account this won't be a problem

I don't know how your ISP works, but if you've got a dynamic IP then possibly. i doubt the IP address is linked to you changing your MAC address though. i wouldn't risk not checking it. don't you get a new IP if you just turn the modem/router off then back on again?

if that works to change your IP address, and you're comfortable doing it, then why not

no, I do not get a new ip address if i turn the modem on and off. no router is used here at all. if i changed my ip for a particular user account b/4 i sign into ebay on that account, cant i just use that same ip all the time only for this user account [which will be a seperate ebay account on this user account]. each account has a different ip, but each individual account i will use the same ip for only that account every time. so if a particular user account is x and i use ip #123456789 assigned to this user account every time, will i be ok/ or do i have to completley get another new ip for this account? for instance if this account is 123456789 do i have to keep changing last 2 numbers on my mac so it automatically finds a whole new ip?
