If I get a new laptop can I be tracked through my wireless router WI-Fi connection?

I used a desktop on my previous account but I had an old laptop I used to connect a few times as well.

So if I get a new laptop do I still need to change the routers MAC address? Can they somehow connect me via the WI-FI?

Make the WI-FI IP is new and different.

So I just need to change my IP Address.

I'm confused sorry.

I understand my Desktops is hooked to my Router. Now my new laptop, will connect to that router as well wirelessly and display the same Router MAC/IP address as my Desktop, correct?

So If I change the routers MAC address and IP address I should be good right? Considering I don't have to worry about cookies/flash objects and such and I use a new name/address/bank account etc.

Is there anything else to worry about?

Address, phone number, cc aside...changing the mac address of the router is good and new IP is good - new computer will avoid old machine linking.

Sounds like a plan.

Following the above steps with a new windows account will also suffice.
