Linking through Shipping address

My question is, I am going to use my friends address, but he lives in WI and I'm in Illinois. He's only a 5 minute drive from me, but I was wondering, when I have his address on file on my paypal and ebay accounts, when I go to print a label, his address would automatically be there along with the customer's, would I be safe to change his address to mine and ship from my town? It would make things alot easier if I could.
