[MAC] Mail app client and IMAP gmail accounts. Safe with multiple stealth accs?
 

Hi, i'm using Mail on mac to download email messages of my multiple stealth accounts. I use it only for read it and have instant update actually, but i was asking myself if also reply direct from email client may be a problem.

Gmail use IMAP procotol and maybe it may be safe.

Any suggestion about this?

Only read them. Responding to them via e-mail is asking for too much. And is also asking for potential linking to your real IP which is very possible to be revealed to eBay when you reply.

When you read them, just make sure in your Mail Preferences, go to Viewing, and UNCHECK 'Display Remote Images'.

I personally use Thunderbird which automatically hides any images

Responding using Mac Mail will display your IP address in the message headers, this applies to any email account regardless of provider. So all messages replied to would have the same IP address.

GMail is safe as long as you only use it through a browser and images are disabled in message display.

Block image display and read them only as suggested.
