*** Proper Instruction Steps To Change Ip On Cable Using Linksys Router ( Pics ) ***
 

I have been a long time reader/watcher of the forums and have seen so many methods of changing ip's and most is confusing specially for people with less computer knowledge. i wrote up the brief tutorial on how to simply change your ip if your on cable internet using a linksys wireless g type router, this requires no unplugging of anything your just simply forcing an ip change without unplugging anything and sitting all night. lol

anyways follow these directions in the steps provided and your ip will change on the spot best of all it will take less then "5 minutes" remember look at each picture and do each step accordingly. goodluck :D:p

Did not work for me. It simply froze and when I attempted to DHCP Renew, it simply stayed the same. Any ideas?

froze? then you have computer issues or router probems. update your firmware in your router. its a natural procedure doing what i showed so. i woul update firmware or try again. its just using internet browser not like a program is running etc..

I tried this but at Step 5 there is no letter. all the boxes have 00 in them. i changed the last box to 01 but nothing. What should i do?

Make sure your router is connected to your modem before doing this.

Mine has two letters at the end, DD it does not end in numbers.
