TheRevolver | 02-08-2013 01:33 AM | This is a good tool but another way to do it is through windows. Right click the picture/pictures, select properties, select details, then select remove properties and personal information at the bottom of the window. Another small window will pop up, check the remove the following properties from this file check box and hit the select all button then the OK button, wala. |
That is a nice tool coupled with the ExitGIF software |

Why would I need additional software when I can just click delete ! :) |
Furious George | 02-08-2013 08:52 AM | I just open photos in photoshop, select all, copy, file>new ....a new blank image, and paste. It pastes all the pixels with none of the EXIF. |

I really can't say for sure that ebay uses the tag info, but the ease of use with batch purifier and the quickness of it, makes it worth the precaution.
Another free program I use for all my photo's is fotosizer. Whether you are emailing images and want to downsize, or you use a listing program like auctionzealot (which I've phased out), which required smaller photo's. On accounts that I list straight through ebay, I like the smaller sizes to increase the speed of ebay upload. |
GreenBean | 02-09-2013 10:09 PM | :thumb: Now there's a program fotosizer ! |
hapajenn1 | 02-16-2013 12:53 PM | great find
but also note that ebay will look at the photo itself not just the EXIF. so if 2 accounts always have the same images it can still raise a red flag to EB |
Killuminati | 02-16-2013 05:37 PM | Batchpurfier is a great tool ive been using for some while it clears folders in seconds highly recommended |
mjstallion | 02-16-2013 10:07 PM | If you have a mac (or are using photoshop) follow these instructions:
When you get your image ready for export click on File in the top menu and select Save for Web & Devices…. From here a new dialog box will open giving you options on the type of file you’d like to export, quality settings, color profile and yes, a metadata removal option. After you get the setting you like, Click save and you're done. |

Better safe than sorry :P |
