My ip keeps changing every minute! Need to stop it! Any advice appreciated!
 

So I use tethering for my accounts and as of late one of my tethering devices IP address keeps changing on its own like every 1 to 7 minutes. Its driving me crazy. Usually the ip address only changes if I turn the internet connection off and then back on OR if I stay logged in for a very long period of time.

But now the ip just keeps changing at random every 5 minutes. Need to get this under control. I have a feeling its something simple that Im missing.

with an android phone. Its never done this before. but ever since last night the ip keeps changing and changing and changing every 5 minutes.

That's happened to me a few times in the past when I use to tether with Iphone and I never really knew why it would happen to be honest. Till today, I don't know why either but if you feel it becomes a problem you should switch to a USB Internet Adapter (dongle).

Do you remember how long it kept happening on your iphone? Its never happened this long before to me. But like you said, Ill probably get a broadband and run off that but tethering was pretty convenient as well untill this dum issue popped up.

Mine changed also right around every 5-7mins and that's when I stopped and changed to USB Dongle.

New LTE rollouts and preparing for the new iPhone. Network is going through some rapid changes this quarter.

OK I THINK I SOLVED THE MYSTERY! SOOO I connected two devices to the hotspot at the same time and the ip stopped randomly changing every 5 min. And when I disconnected the 2nd device, the ip changed on its own within a matter of minutes. SO THERE U HAVE IT! TOOK ME 15 HOURS!

so the 2nd device stabilized the IP? that is odd - software problem perhaps with the hotspot

i'd throw a packet sniffer on it and watch the madness that device is going thru hahahahaahaahah
