New user accounts vs Virtual Machine
 

I would like to know the difference between creating new users accounts and using Virtual Machines while creating stealth eBay & PayPal accounts. I have used both of the methods and have not encountered any problems yet.

I understand that a Virtual Machine is more secure, but it consumes a lot of resources.

I am interested in your opinion either I really need a Virtual Machine or new user accounts are enough.

In 2007, aspkin wrote the methods of new user accounts as being ideal for stealth.

It's a simple effective system without the complications of the virtual machine.

In stealth, simple practical is preferable.

I use this and much prefer the method of new user accounts.

As of today's date and discussions, new windows user account works very well for eb/pp.

I use separate accounts, never had a problem.

Been using Separate user accounts almost since I joined this forum and yet to have a single problem.

@dan, not before I destroyed countless accounts on the road to this point. Even now I am always learning...

when you use multi users you will need also to change computer name and register to, rest your router...etc

For ebay, user accounts are enough. Usage of virtual machines for most users is overkill. It becomes useful when you on a 3rd party VM, but even then it's overkill for eBay

I was in the same boat. i started by buying accounts on here and even that didnt last very long. then i made my own and destroyed some of the early one. but now, oh boy, no problem what so ever. i have several accounts over 1 year old now.

the thing with me when i started was forgetting to change IP address'. now i dont think it, i just do it. a habit formed.

I can't use a virtual machine because I have a repricing tool that is constantly running and I shut my laptop down at night. For that reason I've decided to go with a windows based VPS. On the VPS I'll create several virtual machines using VMWARE, and I'd like to have a different ebay and PayPal account on each virtual machine. I think this will be cheaper than me paying for a different VPS account for each ebay and PayPal account I have. My concern and question is... If i have five virtual machines on that one VPS... will all five of those VM's have the same IP address and the same MAC address? I'm assuming they will all have different browser fingerprints.
