Alternative programs that fully erase history
 

I'm surprised I haven't seen these recommendations so far. We all know ebay and paypal track with cookies and their own software. Why not use window washer, or cyberscrub to completely wipe all info they're trying to find?

I've been using window washer now for some time. Just for safe measures I set it to dod erase standards. You can download them for free via torrent sites.

is CCleaner just as good? thats what I use.

ie7pro is great, it clears cookies every time you close IE

I have anonymizer - is that good enough for erasing what is needed. It has a built in shredder. Thanks.

my first post ever. I am so grateful that this information is still here. my computer crashed, then the next computer and I am slowly restoring everything that I most used. I downloaded ccleaner on one computer, but it seemed to come with a pop-up virus type thing, so I am watching that computer before I go on.
