Using same printer/scanner?

I have a stealth, following the stealth book. Will eBay be able to link me to a restricted account if I print shipping labels from eBay using the same printer/scanner as before? (I've been doing this already for weeks, maybe I should have asked first.)

How about if I take scans of new items for sale with the same scanner? (Haven't done this yet) Thanks.

If you take pictures of scan items for sale, there is embedded information EB can use to link you. Have a search of the forums for the names of software that can erase this embedded information.

l always export my shipping labels to an external source, so cannot help you on that point.

1. No - no link via printer.

2. If you reuse scanned images across accounts - that could link you. Use EXIF software and strip, change, alter images to lessen the link.

To date no-one has reported being linked by a printer.

When I make a new stealth account, I strip my old images of any data. So if you were to use a system like EXIF this would sort the issue of whatever is embossed being removed. A scan should be safe ONLY if you have taken some action.
Don't forget you have quite a few steps to do to appear a new stealth you.

Just wanting to clarify. Embedded information from the scanner itself? To elaborate further, I would be using the same scanner to take scans of DIFFERENT items from the restricted account on a different windows user id.

How about if I had been purchasing products from a website to resell and they do not copyright their images, and I had been saving pics from their site to use on my eBay listings (on the restricted account). If I started doing that again (for different items, same website) but saving my images under the new windows user id, would that link the accounts? Or too risky?

Please note that even if eBay could see any imbedded information on your pics, Scanners are sold by the hundred of thousands!

There is no prudent information being saved by a scanned image, if you feel worried just clean it with exif cleaner.

I was not sure about the scanners embedding information, but I have always cleaned it just in case. With cameras is it definitely needed.

As for copying images from websites, I have done that a few times myself and not had a problem, but it is only a few times like I said. Pictures taken of the item itself always sells better (for me at least)

If you are selling the exact same items on a new account as a restricted account, and use the exact same images though, you may well run into a problem. It is better to use new titles, images, and descriptions.
