2nd eBay Account Suspected - what to do?
 

Hey Guys,

So my eBay account got suspended Indefinitely after 10 years. This is a major blow as I usually sell $40k per month on eBay. I tried appealing their decision, but no luck.

I have another eBay account under a different name, address, phone and Paypal ect. I thought I would just use that account, but it had a lower selling limit. I called eBay to see if they could raise the limit, but Upon calling They told me that the account was suspected of being linked to my suspended account. I played it off and they said they believed me and would hold off suspending it so I could research.

Later I found out that the name on my Paypal account was the same as on the suspended account. I also realized I was managing both accounts from the same computer in Blackthorne.

I have to play my cards right to keep this account from being suspended.

What should I do?

They haven't suspended it yet, so what steps should I take and what should I say to keep them from doing it?

I thought about doing:
1) changing IP address
2) changing PayPal account to another person

But would that be suspicious to them? I would really like to keep this 2nd account as it already has history and feedback.

Sad to hear about your old account but if you have exhausted your means of appeal - it's done :(



Your 2nd account has been linked - you have not followed stealth methodology. You have the guide now so that is the start.

1) You MUST use new IP
2) New PP with stealth info is important (see my 3)...you must create new backups immediately).
3) Do NOT call them again - this account is on very thin ice...not much can be done to save the 2nd one if they already suspect a link.

You must read through the forums more.

Present how you set up your accounts (creation) for prompt advice. $40k a month ...you must not expect to be able to do this during the new period.

I hope it is not too late for you to read this. Avoid changing any info at all.

You will need to work up to higher limits. Takes time, patience and good stealth work.

Most important. Change IP, never log in again in your suspended account.

Similar situation happened to me about a month with 2 eBay accounts linked with same PayPal. I received an email that one of my 2 years old eBay account was suspended for sell only. 100% feedback top rated seller and was not selling vero.
My other account still alive and selling. Hope to see this account selling for many more years.
I will try to open a new one on eBay with a little variation on the name and address. then link it to PayPal only to buy, if everything is going well I will sell some.

What? You are going to link a new account to an older paypal or make a new paypal?

Get it sorted the right way to operate or you will be linked and badly.

You can not do that and expect to last long term.

Soooooooooo many posts about why this will fail - maybe not right away but only time will tell. Not a wise move to save time :rip:

Thank you all for your great Feedback and suggestions! I have read through the Stealth Guide a couple of times now...but I am still not certain how to save this 2nd account.

Again the 2nd account is not suspended "yet". They just suspect it is linked to my suspended account. As Directed I have NOT called eBay back.

The 2nd eBay account is registered under my parents name, address, phone ect located in a different state. (Always has been). As we know I was suspected because the the PayPal Account has my name on it (same name as the suspended account).

Here is my plan.

Step 1) IP Change / I have a VPN with an IP address that originates from the same state as my parents house (registered address on the account).

Step 2) Unlink the current PayPal Account from the 2nd Account.

Step 3) Create a new Stealth PayPal Account and link the 2nd eBay account to it.

Do you think this would work? Suggestions?

@Spectru, why are you relying on VPN? You in the US? Better options...VPN are risky.

Unlinking the current pp account and create a new stealth pp account? Not a good move - both pp's will be linked - fail in the longterm. Do all new eB/pp combo

Yes, I am in the US. I just figured it would be best to have an IP with the same location as the registered address? If I change my IP with the router method then it will still show my location right. Even though the IP is different it will show as the same state.

So do you think I should just stop selling on this Account all together. Again its not suspended yet...I would hate to start over I already have a 20K selling limit.

40K a month from eBay is so beautiful. It's so sad to see that eBay would go to extra length to cut their own bread. Between your accounts, with 40-50K in revenue, I'd suspect 10K went to eBay every month. Why would they do that?

When you find answers to all of what eB does...you are a God. eB doesnt necessarily have logic involved when certain moves are made. Account looks risky? Axe it - that's it. Something appeared odd to the system.

First of all there is nothing you should do to the 2nd account as far as changing information or links to the account. You just may want to let it cool off for a while.

You first must understand how IP addresses tie in with accounts. You stated that you have read the stealth guide a couple of times.

Understand the components of stealth, use the guide along with this forum and you will be on your way.

Honestly, you have to study and research to get going, it will not happen overnight.

Thanks for the advise. I really appreciate it. I am going to let this account cool off and hope that eBay forgets about the suspected link.

1) I have deleted all cookies and flash
2) I have a new IP address (using the modem method)
3) I only intend on using 1 account, so another computer user is not necessary.

Even after all of the above....My main question still remains....What should I do about the PayPal account? I would imagine that even after a cooling off period, I will still have to change the PayPal account to a stealth account right? My name is still on the account.

There is a strong possibility that all of your accounts, pypl,eb have ben linked.

Going forward you have to go stealth

There is actually no 100% fail-proof way on saving this account - it is linked...will it be suspended? Only time will tell

You might get lucky but the odds are very against you at this point.

Start working on several stealth accounts.

Every ice skater has at least fallen once in performance, they always rise quickly and finish the task. In eBay, very many like you have become victims because LOGIC does not work with eBay. Like an ice skater, you will have to rise and finish your performance. If you take the advise of people here serious, you will prosper; your choice directs your path.

You have another option to use an IP associated with any account any where in USA. The only price you have to pay is the type of connection; DIAL-UP is your friend. Today, there are dial-ups advertised at 5X the real speed of 56K. If you get a speed better than ISDN, you are all set.

Confirm that dial-up works well albeit slow....you will need the landline and (for economical reasons) a long distance plan - not too pricey ones are available that cover all of the States and (if you wish) North America.
