Default Outlook email is TERRIBLE for stealth

I just found out the hard way that you should NOT use outlook emails for stealth. The default setting for outlook is to "Show attachments, pictures, and links for senders with good reputations".

Before using the email I switched this to the other option, which is: "Block attachments, pictures, and links for anyone not in my safe senders list". These are the only two options outlook has.

However, when I went to make my paypal account, I saw that the pictures in the email were still not being blocked. This is because outlook automatically has paypal in its safe senders list. Thus my new stealth account is now linked to the IP I opened the email from, and is now history.

The only way I can think of to block tracking beacons from paypal/ebay in outlook is to send them to spam, which would be counterintuitive and might not even work. Main point is: DONT USE OUTLOOK!

Well, this is known...you have to always make sure images and beacons are off for each e-mail account.

This being said, only time will tell if your account will go down - multiple e-mails may link you - I would feel certain that 1 e-mail has low chance of permanently linking.

So sorry you had a hard lesson to learn from using outlook.

Always been the recommendation to use gmail with images disabled.

You can also use other programs effectively.

if your playing stealth on multiple acc's then leaving images/beacons for eb/pp to build some history of you is surely a plus to keep you under the radar?

If a unique windows user acc is used each time with unique IP,MAC for each stealth you access surely these beacons / images cant be accessed across windows user acc's?

@rio

When aspkin started the forum, and wrote the procedures, he tested & ascertained images being disabled was the most effective stealth idea.

For me, I go with that. It is one less issue of being linked.

Gmail is the best service by far. Disable imagines, make sure you dont click any links and you are good to go.

Gmail is a wonderful service but for all e-mails you should check to make sure images and beacons and flash images are turned off moving forward...hard lesson but have to learn it one way or another

Basic tenet of stealth and emails as advised by aspkin

Disable images and beacons and flash images.

Be proactive with your own safety.

Watch out for Gmail's "trusted senders" whereby images are by default set to download. Dont know who is on this list, but im concerned. to be safe change this default setting.
