Are 4G internet wireless dongles safe?

I've noticed that on 3G i get different IP# every time i log on but in 4G the ip is fixed and doesn't change for several hours.

I called Virgin and they're telling me that everyone who logs in from my general area will get the same IP.

Since eBay can't ban everyone within a few mile radius, when they shut down an account i should be safe using 4g connection, right?

My Virgin U600 dongle enables me to switch from 4G to 3G or vise versa. I wouldn't duplicate my IP's between accounts.

I'm on 4G Verizon Wireless, I'm always fascinated by the word "safe" lol.

3G is not bad at least Verizon's 3G is fast and you get a new IP with a push of a button

3G is far from slow, even with Virgin forcing you to use EVDO only. Find a place with a better signal...

As far as the question goes. I don't know about you guys but I have used 3G teathering, and 4G. They both work fast, and are great. However with 4G I seem to get the same IP address more times when trying to change it then I do 3G. I am with Verizon as well. However 4G is still great, and still has a large pool of IP's. Just make sure your keeping everything logged, and you should be fine (which it sounds like your doing).

I enjoyed the scenes too Jack. As far as 4G goes, safe for IP access certainly - what you do with your business and other info will affect on how "safe" your account will be
