Most interested in dongles now.


Maybe in PM or link if you could explain what Dongle is I would greatly appreciate it. Although I am on the computer lots my post 2005-07 tech knowledge is relatively limited. Never owned a smart phone or sent a text message in my life. Never owned a GPS etc. So as some of this new stuff comes out I goes by me.

What is a dongle?

In the below thread, Post 10 displays an actual image of a specific model.

Means of access is USB port and with better ISPs, the IP supplied is mainly dynamic. ( 3g network may differ)

In basic terms, you stick a little plastic stick into the computer (USB port on the side), and it works as an internet service, so you can use the internet.

You use them like a pay as you go phone, but you pay for the internet data instead of phone calls/texts.

So instead of using the internet by your normal house Wifi, you use it through the dongle stick.
