Apple Mac - help.

Hi all! So I have a mini mac that I want to use for my stealth account. The question is, can I set up multiple user accounts on a mac, and by using a dongle and refreshing it each time I log into a different user account, will this keep me safe?
Thanks!

Haha! Partially! I am just wondering if it works the same on a mac as it does on PC? No information from my admin account on my mac can be crossed over whilst on another account? I've made sure it can't connect to the home wifi (home wifi is the main concern, I have a suspended seller account that I still use to purchase a lot of stuff that I use on the wifi, as does my little brother). So I don't want anything crossing over etc.

Yes you can create separate user accounts on a mac just the same as on a pc. In fact the mac is more secure.

..oh... right.. sorry, so the answer is here above but you can also take into consideration something like VmWare or Virtualbox.

Brilliant thanks! One other question, when I log into my stealth user account on the mac -
1. The other account is logged in in the background, is that a problem?
2. The home wifi (which is BAD) automatically connects, if I change to the dongle before accessing eBay will this be ok or just by that mac user account connecting to my home wifi (even though I haven't browsed on it) will the mac user account be compromised?

i am not a MAC expert nor user but:
1. is no problem works as windows does... oops, sorry, much better (no problems here)
2. I am not sure if I correcltly understood your question, but if you connect the MAC via dongle, all the users (active and background) of that machine will be connected via dongle.

Sorry let me rephrase. If I connect to my stealth mac user account and it automatically connects to my home wifi, can I just plug the dongle in and connect to that and then go onto eBay?

I would say yes, but before connecting to the Ebay, check your IP with something like this so you are 100% sure you are not using your home wifi.

No, you do not need to add this overkill.

New stealth users are better to have easy to operate systems.

The dongle, the ipad, used correctly will work just fine.

:peace:

So if the user account on logging in on mac (not eBay) connects to home wifi, and then I connect to the dongle for internet access then connect to eBay I'm perfectly fine? I'll make sure my IP is different :)

System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Uncheck "Remember networks this computer has joined" and remove your saved networks.

You will then manually have to connect to the network when you login to a new user.
