Question about Ebay Mobile App (Iphone)???

Hi,

I have the ebay mobile app in my iphone, I have multiples ebay accounts, can I login and logout in my device without ebay match my accounts? Or ebay take the IP and match the account?

PD: I'm not using the app, because I do not dare to ebay detect my accounts. I would like to use it because the notifications are great. Or what mobile app can I use for have ebay or paypal notification for not realize it's the same device?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum. I would do everything in my power to have any eb or pp apps totally removed from my phone because using them is certain doom. Please use search function. Heavily discussed issue here.

If you just want to see the notifications from eBay/Paypal, why not just rely on the emails they automatically send to your GMail account (or whatever mail client you use)?

Using the app has been discussed many times on this forum and it is highly advised against. Check threads and comments by MM78.

Avoid the apps altogether (and preferably), rely on GMail instead for your notifications.

I have just deleted the apps. Both the ebay and paypal one.

I used to use my ebay app for taking pictures and uploading them to the ad, (I used to create the ad on my desktop computer and use the iphone ebay app to populate the pictures).

Is it ok to use the m.ebay.ca or their "classic site" to add pictures?
I DO have a photo exif cleaner program/app on my desktop and one on the iphone now.

I do NOT have a stealth account but I think I am ready to make one this weekend.
I have been reading on the forum and the guide. btw... lol

So its pretty much case closed that Ebay or PP phone app = avoid at all costs.

But what if you ONLY use the iPhone (or Android, whichever you got) for listing on ONE Stealth? Other Stealth on other platforms (desktop, tablet, etc.) But because the Ebay Mobile App is convenient from what i've read in terms of uploading pictures etc. -- is it still advised against even if you stick to ONLY 1 Stealth per Phone ?

I understand... the APP is a stealth killer... avoid it like the plague.
what about the classic site via iphone mobile browser. or m.ebay.ca or m.ebay.com?

No that's just as bad, cos you will have to clear cookies on iPhone each time you log on to a different account, and as eBay wouldn't recognise you each time you log in as you've cleared cookies, it will raise an alarm, i tried doing this when first started making stealths and kept getting mc999 on all accounts, no way round it, since I've made new accounts on computer each with new user and never clear cookies, I've never had mc999 since

For one account only it would work but for multiple accounts - no.

I have to DISAgree with below quote that clearing cookies on iPhone or Tablet means MC999.
I have been using the same Tablet for multiple stealth (EB and Amaz0n) and clear cache n cookies for Safari each time --- so far 2 years or so and not a problem . .. . . . . .what do u other guys think ?

I would only be using it for one account per iPhone (in my personal situation) but with the technology and advncement and tricks up Amaz0n or PP's sleeve, its never safe.
Who knows if they can somehow see some data in the email addresses etc. on your Phone etc. Or in the future they pull some tricky move and dizaster strikes . .. . . .

You can use the iphone for multiple accounts PROVIDED you make the set up correctly.

Helps to use iphones and so know these answers.

Bit of a difference though your accounts are 2 years old mine are new accounts, maybe that's why i got the mc999 and you didn't as you are a more trusted user having a 2 year old account compared to my 2 week old account.

It is advised to try and keep a good cookie and browsing history as if this it deleted each time you log in then eBay May sometimes ask you for some personal info, that's just what I've been told off people off this forum and also says it in the eBay stealth book and since taking this advice, like I said not one single mc999
