Ha, I never knew of that "hidden feature".
I have my settings set to not include personal information on pictures, or put them in mspaint and save them again.

I have also used these sites in the past just to verify exif data was removed.

http://regex.info/exif.cgi
Free online image metadata (EXIF, IPTC, XMP) viewer.

but, who wants to upload their pictures to someone else?

Re: Easy way of removing EXIF data from the pics

Can somebody confirm if all jstrip/batch purifier does is exactly the same in the video shown? I mean apart from Date/Time taken of the photo properties i cant see any other trackable information. Somebody correct me if i'm wrong.

Forgive me if this sounds silly: Does the photo/file path still remain on the picture once uploaded to ebay? Or the Computer/Owner information, because if i look into Properties I can still see this information.

When you upload a file, the file you upload doesn't contain the directory it came from.

Aside from the dimensions and file size, I'm guessing its the date/time taken of the picture which is the crucial factor that needs to be removed in the properties section, correct?

Thanks for this. When you remove all of the EXIF data, does that mean you can use that exact same picture for different accounts then?

Was just about to ask this question! does anyone have a answer please? Can we use the photo on multiple accounts after doing this and do we have to repeat and clear exif data each time you want to use that photo on a different account?

I personally would not advise using the same pictures even if you clear EXIF data, it can lead to some problems in the future.

Linking to another account, even the background ideally should be different.

Re: Easy way of removing EXIF data from the pics

I run 100s of accounts and you cannot ever link them by photos as I have tons of backdrops, angles, close, far away, outside, inside, in my driveway, next to my pool, next to a tree, on a wrought iron stand, on a pedestal etc.

You need to take the time to use different back drops.

Yea u May fool the eBay bots but upon manually review of similar accounts if there are multiple similarities a hard link will form and account will be closed

If you have an approach like that, then you might as well go and do 9 to 5 job.
