Forgot to log off?

Ok so i have multiple Stealths set up with each one on its own user account and always use a new ip when checking them.

SO heres my question was on main Ebay account with tablet, i never logged off it. went to my PC logged on different user and IP stealth account with new IP is it possible to get linked do to not logging off of tablet and checking another stealth on home pc with a new ip? Hope this kind of made sense

Re: Forgot to log off?

Probably. If they used the same IP, then yes...

Yeah thats what i was thinking, when i switched to the stealth on home pc i used a new ip, however i was still logged into the tablet on my main ebay account but just logged in did not check anything or do anything on it

if you are just on wifi and change IP, you are still logged on 1st one and it will then be on same ip as 2nd one.

..even if no action is made on the other device? Does EB refresh the page every x seconds kind of "keep alive"?
If the user doesn't browser or use the account EB server will not see any exchange of data so will not see the new ip... am I missing something here?

Re: Forgot to log off?

Here are my thoughts:

Log onto account A with IP A - Ebay records IP A.

Log on to account B with IP B - EBay records IP B.

However:

If still logged onto Account A and IP has changed to IP B
and account activity takes place then IP B will ALSO be recorded.

That would make sense to me.

ilcarletto that is what i am curious about? Even though was still logged into tablet with stealth 1, it was never used just forgot to log off and shutdown.

Also IF they did get linked does anyone know how long it takes for Ebay to catch it. Really messed up on these accounts they where doing good :(

Re: Forgot to log off?

same ip is not necessarily the biggest deal. ips get shared between offices, households, coffee shop etc. if one acc goes down they may look at other, and check for other similarities or they may not, I do not think same ip automatically takes other acc down...in most cases it is just one factor.

Definitely possible - aim to avoid repetition - be meticulous.

So you are saying that both accounts might have been active (one on tablet, one on PC) with the same IP?
