Can this link accounts?
 

I received a message from an ebay member from an auction on one of my accounts I dont use with this IP and browser. I accidentally clicked the item URL in the email, I notice the actual item URL is a bit different to the ebay item page, I think its tracking info. Will they link this?

Unless you logged into your suspended eBay account, i don't think so.

Nah, it was just a standard link to the item page.

I guess it was tracking info, they canned the account.

Possible Flash cookie?
What kind of e-mail account was it? Outlook, G-mail, Hotmail?

Nah no flash cookie, it was my gmail account.

When someone asks you a question, it sends it to your email address. At the bottom of the email it has "Item and user details". Theres a link to the item there. If you look at he url of the link, you can see theres tracking info on the end of it.

Im letting others know it links the accounts so they dont get suspended.

So the IP and browser you had when you clicked on that item link was used for another eBay account (that's suspended)?

If not, and it was a clean IP and Browser, why would eBay link and ban the account?
